Pakistan’s False Narrative Finally Exposed: LG Sinha
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said Pakistan’s decades-long propaganda in Jammu and Kashmir has collapsed, as its terror networks and local supporters stand exposed for running false narratives to shield the country’s involvement in violence.
Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday visited Dardpora in Kupwara to meet the families of civilians killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists and later addressed the next of kin of terror victims at Government Degree College, Kupwara.
The Lieutenant Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to justice, rehabilitation, and dignity for all affected families. “Justice, respect and dignity to family members of civilian martyrs killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists is my top priority,” he said, adding that the criminal justice system will ensure that perpetrators and the terror ecosystem face punishment.
“I have assured the family members that their decades-long trauma, torment and suffering is over. We will ensure all the support so that they can reclaim their lives,” he said.
Sinha noted that many families of terror victims were denied basic rights and access to resources for decades. “Families of civilians who were killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists also suffered systemic barriers which stifled their progress. They were denied their rights and access to resources. All obstacles are now removed and we are ensuring justice and dignity for terror victim families,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also paid homage to those killed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, acknowledging the emotional and psychological scars carried by survivors. “It is difficult to articulate the pain and suffering of terror victim families due to their profound emotional and psychological trauma, and the administration will handle each case with full sensitivity and responsibility,” he added.
Highlighting welfare initiatives, Sinha said that around 250 families have so far been provided government jobs. “This mission will continue till justice is done to every affected family. This is the beginning of a new era of justice in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He also mentioned the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the High-Range Rural Development Society (HRDS India) and the Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir divisions for constructing houses for terror victims who own land but lost their homes to violence.
The Lieutenant Governor blamed Pakistan and its proxies for spreading disinformation in the region. “The culprit Pakistani terrorists and their support system in the Valley ran a false narrative for three decades to absolve terror country Pakistan for its sins. Pakistan, breeding ground for terrorism, is exposed now and those involved in peddling fake narrative on behalf of terrorists will be brought to justice,” he said.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, DIG NKR Baramulla Maqsood-Ul-Zaman, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, SSP Kupwara Syed Al-Tahir Gilani, Chairman Save Youth Save Future Foundation Wajahat Farooq Bhat, and several senior officials and members of terror victim families were present at the event.
