LG Manoj Sinha Inaugurates ‘Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025’ in Srinagar, Warns Against Divisive Narratives

Srinagar, July 10: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday inaugurated the ‘Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025’ exhibition and public outreach initiative in Srinagar, calling it a powerful platform to showcase developmental strides and strengthen the bond between citizens and governance.

During his address, the LG issued a strong warning against elements attempting to disrupt peace through false narratives.

“Some people are irresponsibly claiming that guests are spoiling the culture of Jammu and Kashmir, alleging demographic invasion and rising alcoholism. This rhetoric mirrors the narrative of ⁷terror outfit TRF. I urge them to stop – such propaganda has cost us innocent lives in the past,” said LG Sinha.

Justice for Victims of Terror

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to justice, Sinha spoke about addressing past misuse of job quotas under SRO-43, which were allegedly awarded to the perpetrators instead of victims’ families.

“We are ensuring that the real victims of terror receive their due. I recently met affected families in Anantnag. The misuse of SRO-43 will not be tolerated, and those responsible will be held accountable,” he stated.

Vision of a New Jammu and Kashmir

Highlighting the transformation since 2014, the LG said Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented growth in security, education, and entrepreneurship.

“This is a new J&K where schools stay open, youth carry pens instead of stones, and the calendar is filled with international events, not shutdowns,” he said.
“The UT’s economy has doubled, J&K Bank has turned from a Rs 1,300 crore loss to a Rs 1,700 crore profit, and the region is now an investment hotspot,” he added.

Sinha emphasized that the next two decades could be a golden era for J&K, provided the youth are empowered to lead in innovation, industry, and national development.

“I look forward to the day when J&K’s youth become astronauts and space scientists,” he said.

Exhibition to Showcase Innovation and Inclusivity

The LG lauded the Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025 initiative for promoting awareness about welfare schemes, innovations, and technological advancements. He urged educational institutions to visit the exhibition to expose students to national progress.

The three-day mega event features interactive exhibitions by central ministries, public sector undertakings, and research institutions. Highlights include:

Live demonstrations and hands-on learning

Career guidance and skill development zones

Workshops on innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship

Showcases of local artisans, success stories, and youth-led enterprises

Among the dignitaries present were Rajya Sabha MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo, Tarmeh Events Director Tarun Jain, and representatives from various ministries and central departments.
