Teenager Drowns In River Sindh Near Kangan Ganderbal

Srinagar, June 22 (GNS): A 19-year-old teenager from Srinagar drowned in River Sindha near Rayil Kangan Ganderbal in central Kashmir and his body is yet to be retrieved, an official said on Tuesday.

The police while confirming that the teenager identified as Salim Khan (19) of 90-feet road Pandach Srinagar drowned in the river last evening but said that the circumstance leading to the incident were still unclear and part of the investigation.

“As of now, we cannot say whether he drowned while taking a bath or there is some other reason. It is being investigated,” SSP Ganderbal Suhail Munawar Mir told GNS.

The police officer also said that searches are underway to find out the body. (GNS)
