Dingree Capitals Clinch Victory in Inaugural Cricket League

Kupwara, July 04: The Dingree Premier League (DPL), the first-ever cricket league, was successfully held at the newly constructed Sports Stadium in Hakani Abad Punzwa. The league concluded with an exciting final match between Dingree Capitals and Rising Stars Dingree. Dingree Capitals Clinch Victory in Inaugural Cricket League

The event was graced by the presence of Syed Gh Rabbani as the chief guest, along with Sarpanch Gh Mohideen Mir as the guest of honor. Several other esteemed dignitaries from the area were also in attendance to witness the historic occasion.

The highly anticipated final match showcased fierce competition between Dingree Capitals and Rising Stars Dingree. In the previous edition of the DPL, Dingree Capitals emerged as the champions after defeating Rising Stars Dingree by 29 runs at the Sports Stadium in Punzwa.

Having won the toss, Rising Stars Dingree elected to bowl first and managed to restrict Dingree Capitals to a modest total of 98 runs. However, in their pursuit of the target, Rising Stars Dingree faltered and were bowled out for just 70 runs. Bilal Mohiudin was named the Player of the Match for his all-round performance, contributing 28 runs with the bat and claiming 3 wickets.

As a token of appreciation and support for the teams participating in the inaugural series at the stadium, Chief Guest Mr. Syed Gh Rabbani distributed sports kits among the teams. The local community expressed their gratitude and admiration towards Mr. Syed Gh Rabbani for his valuable contribution in bringing the stadium to the area.

The successful conclusion of the Dingree Premier League has not only brought cricketing excitement to the region but has also provided a platform for local talent to showcase their skills. The league is expected to become an annual event, fostering a vibrant cricketing culture in the area and inspiring young players to pursue their passion for the sport.
