After 3 Deacdes, National Anthem echoes during lawyers meet in Srinagar court

Srinagar, July 14: In a first, after almost three decades, the National Anthem resounded on 13th July 2023 at the precinct, reserved for the lawyers’ activity, at District Court Complex. After 3 Deacdes, National Anthem echoes during lawyers meet in Srinagar court

Reports stated that during a meeting of lawyers organised by the Kashmir Advocates Association, National Anthem was sung at the beginning of the meeting.

“The meeting was held at BAR room in the Petition Writer’s block and was presided over by the President Kashmir Advocates Association, Adv. Waseem Gul who assured the lawyers that the genuine demands of the lawyers will be raised with the authorities for their redressal.

“It was the first time in the history that echoes of the national Anthem could be heard in the Lawyers room in Srinagar District Court Complex,” said sources privy to the meeting adding that an unpleasant situation arose during the event, when a group of some anti-national elements started a ruckus to disrupt the event.
