LCMA conducts Special demolition drive in various Srinagar areas

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 22: The Enforcement Wing of Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) today conducted a Special demolition drive in the area of Harwan, Wangund Teilbal, Ishber, Baba Demb, Bagi RoopSingh Rainawari, Beigh Mohalla Saidakadal and Dalgate. LCMA conducts Special demolition drive in various Srinagar areas

Several illegal constructions were demolished/ removed on the occasion, including 04 single storey houses, Compound walling, one plinth and one raft. Also illegal earth filling was removed by utilizing the services of Departmental JCB and trippers. Besides, legal action has also been initiated against the violators.

LCMA conducts Special demolition drive in various Srinagar areas

The Police Station Harwan and Police Contingent from PCR were accompanying the Special Demolition Drive.

The Special Demolition Drives will continue within LCMA Jurisdiction especially in Green Belt (200 mts) and the violators will be dealt under law. Therefore, people within LCMA Jurisdiction are time and again warned not to resort to any kind of illegal construction/ encroachments within LCMA Jurisdiction especially Green Belt (200 mts).

More so, people residing within LCMA residential areas are requested to get proper building permission from the competent Authority before taking any construction work in hand, otherwise, strict action shall be taken against them.
