By Ajaz Rashid

Kupwara, July 31: A 60-year-old woman and an 8-year-old boy lost their lives late Wednesday night when a makeshift shelter collapsed in the forest area of Amri Bhak Warnow in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

According to officials, the tragic incident occurred during the night when the temporary structure gave way, trapping the occupants inside.

The deceased have been identified as Marif Noori (60), wife of Mohammad Yousuf Mir, and Aabid Hussain Mir (8), son of Mohammad Shafi Mir — both residents of Aafan Warnow Lolab.
