DLSA Budgam holds meeting/ orientation, training session for SAATHI unit committee members

BUDGAM, JUNE 04: A meeting-cum-orientation programme and a training session for the SAATHI unit committee members of district Budgam was held today through virtual mode.

The meeting aimed to discuss and finalize the implementation strategy for the SAATHI campaign, which focuses on identifying and rehabilitating destitute children in the district.

The meeting was chaired by Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, (Chairperson SAATHI Unit Committee) Budgam, and was attended by various stakeholders including SAATHI committee members of district Budgam etc.

Secretary DLSA conducted the orientation and training session of the District SAATHI Unit Members, and Advocate Javaid Ahmed, Dy.LADC was also nominated as a resource person who shared a PPT on the subject with all the participants.

The session focused on orienting committee members on their roles and responsibilities, training them on conducting surveys and identification processes for destitute children, and outlining next steps for the campaign’s successful execution.

Through this initiative, DLSA Budgam aims to identify and rehabilitate destitute children, ensuring their access to education, healthcare, and social welfare schemes.

The SAATHI campaign is a significant step towards creating a protective and nurturing environment for vulnerable children in district Budgam.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to work together in ensuring the success of the SAATHI campaign and making a meaningful difference in the lives of destitute children.

It also emphasized the importance of interdepartmental coordination and community participation in ensuring the success of the SAATHI campaign.
