Social media claims on JKPSC exam misleading: LG Sinha

Jammu, Dec 6: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday clarified that recent social media posts regarding the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) examination are misleading.

He said that the file received by Lok Bhavan on December 2, 2025, was specifically related to age relaxation.

“Despite a lapse of four days, Lok Bhavan did not receive any response. I fully sympathize with young aspirants,” Sinha said in a post on X.

He further noted that the advertisement notice for the JKPSC examination was published on August 22, 2025, and the examination was notified to be conducted on December 7, 2025, through a notice issued on November 6, 2025.

Sinha’s statement comes amid widespread confusion and misinformation circulating online, which had raised concerns among aspirants regarding eligibility criteria and age relaxation provisions.

He urged candidates to rely only on official notices and updates issued by the JKPSC to avoid unnecessary anxiety.

The JKPSC exam, scheduled for December 7, is expected to attract a large number of applicants, with the age relaxation provisions applicable to specific categories as per government rules.
