Srinagar, Aug 02 : The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh has taken significant action by issuing a notice to Rehana Batul, Secretary of the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR). The court’s decision comes in response to concerns raised about the proliferation of fake journalists, fraudulent media portals, and unregistered social media sites operating in the region.

The notice was issued following a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Dr. M Shuja, Journalist and General Secretary of the J&K Peoples’ Forum.
