Shamima Hafiz, sister of Rising Kashmir Editor Hafiz Ayaz passes away

Srinagar: Shamima Hafiz, the elder sister of Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir, Ayaz Hafiz Gani, passed away on Friday at a hospital in New Delhi after a prolonged illness. She was on ventilator support before she breathed her last.

 

Her mortal remains were brought to Srinagar, where she was laid to rest at the ancestral graveyard on Saturday. Hundreds of people, including relatives, friends, and well-wishers, participated in her last rites, expressing their condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family.

 

People from different walks of life have extended their sympathies to Ayaz Hafiz Gani over this loss.

 

Meanwhile, Editor in Chief Era of Kashmir Ajaz Rashid expressed grief over her demise and expressed sympathies with the family in this hour of grief.
